Peel the mountain. Build the machine. Find the way out.
An independent, English-language guide to Potato Please: first-person physics peeling, incremental upgrades, full automation, all 20 achievements, hidden endings and the questions players actually ask.
What is Potato Please?
Potato Please is a first-person potato peeling simulation released on Steam on 3 November 2026 by independent developer Golden Horn Studios. You are handed a knife, a bucket and a mountain of potatoes, and told to keep the army fed.
The official pitch is deliberately plain: "Peel them with real physics. Cut thin, waste nothing. Buy better tools. Finish the pile." What begins as manual kitchen work gradually becomes an automated production line.
The setting does the rest of the work: a cold Soviet-flavoured warehouse, Russian-language propaganda posters urging you to peel faster, and a tone that owes an obvious debt to Papers, Please. A key hidden inside a potato in the reveal trailer hints that the job is not the whole story.

Three acts of peeling
The store page structures the entire game around three verbs. Understanding them tells you almost everything about where a run is going.
Peel the potatoes
Pick each potato up, remove the skin by hand with physics-driven cutting, then drop it into the water. Thin, continuous peels waste less of the potato and are worth more.
Finish the pile
The pile is the clock. Clearing it pushes you to find faster ways to work, turning a meditative task into an efficiency problem.
Automate the process
Bulk collection, machines and upgrades convert repetitive labour into a system that increasingly runs itself.
